Key Selection Points

  • Select equipment according to actual store dimensions and aisle width. Customization is available for special layout requirements to guarantee smooth installation.
  • For high-frequency commercial use, ensure robust construction for long-term stable performance under full-load conditions.
  • Prioritize corrosion-resistant, wipe-clean materials to cut daily maintenance costs and adapt to complex supermarket operating environments.
  • Confirm the availability of required optional accessories based on product categories to meet practical operation demands.
  • Take on-site power supply, drainage and heat dissipation into consideration in advance to ensure normal operation after installation.

How This Counter Leaves The Factory

Store fixtures are light for their size, so a container fills up on volume long before it fills up on weight. What decides your freight is not what one unit weighs — it is what shape the goods are in when they go through the container door. Everything we build leaves in one of three shapes, and a bulk island is the one that travels best.

Flat Packed Cabinet And Shelving Panels

Shelving bays, produce islands and bulk cabinets travel as panels — uprights, shelves, back panels and plinths, strapped flat with bubble wrap on every component. They are built up on the shop floor, so the packing list and the assembly drawings travel with the goods.

Nested Trolleys And Hand Baskets

Trolleys slide into one another and baskets stack. Past the first unit, each extra one adds only its nesting pitch instead of its full length, so the shipped volume ends up a fraction of what the unit count suggests.

Fully Assembled Counters

A checkout lane is welded, coated and fitted out as one piece, so it is crated whole with padding on the steel. Nothing waits to be assembled at the store beyond levelling it into the lane, and the crate is the counter plus a margin.

This model

A checkout lane ships assembled, so the crate is the counter plus a margin and the length you order is the length that loads. That is the expensive end of the freight scale, which is why a counter order is usually put on the same container as flat packed shelving and nested trolleys rather than shipped on its own. The loading plan comes back with your quotation.

Ships With

What Usually Travels In The Same Container

A checkout lane almost never arrives alone. These three categories share the front of the store with it, and putting them on one order is what lets a single colour reference run across the whole front, because it becomes one batch of coating rather than three.

How many of each a store needs is a floor area question rather than a product question, and it is answered store by store on the equipment lists by store size.

Buyer Questions

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

The ones that come up on nearly every enquiry for this category.

Q01 Can this exact checkout counter be built to a different length?

Yes. The model shown is one length we have built before; the worktop, belt bay and packing end are all cut to the lane width you send us, so send the clear floor space and we draw it to fit rather than resize a fixed unit.

Q02 Can the finish on this counter be matched to our other fixtures?

Yes. Every steel checkout counter takes a powder coat matched to a RAL or PANTONE reference, and the worktop laminate is chosen from a standard range or matched where the order size supports it, so this unit can leave in the same finish as the rest of the store.

Q03 Is there a minimum order if I only need one of this model?

No minimum for a sample unit. Freight only starts to make sense once there is enough to part-fill a container, so order one to check the build and add the rest once you are ready.

Q04 How long does this counter take to build once we confirm the drawing?

Production runs four to six weeks from a signed drawing for most checkout counters, depending on how many lanes are on the order and whether the finish is a stock colour or a matched one.

Q05 Does this counter ship assembled or does it arrive in pieces?

Assembled. Checkout counters are welded, coated and fitted out as one piece and crated whole with padding on the steel, so nothing waits to be built at the store beyond levelling it into the lane.
